	My name is Cole Hersey (he/him). I am a writer, journalist, and an illustrator based in Oakland, California. Much of my current work focuses on environmental and ecological issues, along with a growing work in art reviews.
I have written feature pieces for Wales Arts Review, North Bay Bohemian, Bay Nature, Earth Island Journal, Dispatches, and elsewhere. I have edited for publications such as Poetry Flash, West Marin Review, Quiet Lightning, and Earth Island Journal. 
My fiction and poetry have appeared in literary magazines across the country and abroad, such as, Short Beasts, 7x7.la, and&#38;nbsp;Parenthesis.  
My illustrations have been shown throughout California, in spaces such as Bartavelle Coffee and Wine Bar,&#38;nbsp; Gospel Flats Farmstand in Bolinas, California, and NIAD Art Center. For an example of my web design work, feel free to visit the portfolio of Peter Munselle here.&#38;nbsp;
